What the tree surrendered to time and salt wind — the skeleton left behind, still reaching. The branches twist and claw at the sky in silhouette, each one a gesture frozen mid-gesture. Above them the clouds sail through an impossible blue, indifferent and full of life. This is what persistence looks like when the fight is already over: the tree still holds its shape, still breaks the horizon, still has something to say about endurance.
Shot on Jekyll Island, Georgia.
